There will be WAR, there will be HA in Warhammer when it launches. I will dig my feet into the ground in front of the armies of the enemies and laugh as they try to move me from my position. The world will tremble as the Halcyon Affinity Banner raises on the horizons as the legion of standard bearers pour onto the forefronts of battle. The earth will shake and crack before our coming charge and heavens will clear with the warcry of Halcyon Affinity.

In a nut shell I am playing Warhammer. These last several month many of us have been patiently and eagerly for the next generation of MMO's to release. This has given me plenty of time now to reflect upon the MMO's currently headed our way and what myself as a player enjoy and what many in the guild will enjoy. After having playing both games Age of Conan since October of 2007 and Warhammer March 2008 I have made my decision to retract my decision to lead the Age of Conan chapter. Officially I will making a Halcyon Affinity branch in Warhammer in June 2008 upon its release.

This decision was not done easily, and came only after playing both games for a reasonable amount of time. Age of Conan is in no way a failure of a game I just prefer Warhammer more. This is due to a number of reasons including both universe and several of the major design concepts such as the Tome of Knowledge and Realm vs Realm. I won't lie to you guys however and try to spin the truth of the matter. Age of Conan had and has some great concepts going for it however all the implementations of them haven't been going the best in the current stages of Beta. However as to reiterate I am not forsaking playing Age of Conan because I feel it is the lesser between itself and Warhammer. I am playing Warhammer because I feel it is a better game in the form of its concepts honestly by far.

With all this said I am definitely hyped about playing Warhammer. Since getting into beta I have enjoyed every moment of it and will continue you beta test the game up until it comes out. For those of us who are Achievers by nature and that is the majority of you guys here is a list of some of the things that have swayed me:

40 Levels
1000 Trophies
4 Tier Sets of Armor = PvE, RvR, Bounty Hunter, Capital City
10,000 Tome of Knowledge Unlocks (more each patch highly prioritized)
100 RvR Levels
100 Guild Levels
30 Scenarios = (Picture WoW Battle Grounds more scripts and meaning and larger)
3 War fronts with 3 Capital Cities to sack and pillage
Dungeons Unlocked from realm control even in Capital Cities
Raid Mobs

For the rest of you if you like graphics then I would say the game looks better than Vanguard in all fronts not just player models. Don't take my word for it though and go check out some of the screen shots and concept art on the Warhammer Mythic's site. The concept art is actually being ported over into the game to such an extend that I am once again blown away by the quality of this development team.

The madness has come back over me and I must return to the forefront of battle. The desire to conquer this world is strong and the rage that I have developed from playing Warcraft imust now be directed at the foolish Elves of Warhammer. If you want in on the madness to come please talk to Ferrum Warhammer Recruitment Officer in vent or pm.

Age of Conan
Strykr who is currently the Age of Conan Recruitment Officer has stated that if interest in the game persisted he would consider leading the Halcyon Affinity chapter of Age of Conan. If you are one of those people who is still interested in Age of Conan please contact Strykr via vent or pm.

I'm all for whichever game we decide to go to. WHO seems to have a lot of content with it but I have yet to play the beta of either so I can't really comment much.

How's the movement speed Alk? Is it a little more fast pace like WoW or slower like EQ2?

Its hard to tell playing these long legged elves. I think it is definitely slower than the warp speed of eq2. I will go and test it thoroughly for comparison.

Apparently the prospect of a possible army topless chicks running around in Hyboria wasn't enough to sell me.
