I don’t advocate buying gold however…..

- Learn to change passwords and email address after getting power leveled? Sadly most of the so called “victims” are stupid teenagers running wild with paypal gift cards or mommy and daddy’s credit card.


“The companies essentially take time away from our development and in-game support efforts as we work to stop their exploits and assist players who have become their victims in recovering characters and items.”

- This must be why no one can design a decent/unique PvP/PvE set…. Or focus on balancing the game….

These are the friends, relatives, and guildmates you may know who have gone through the experience of having characters, gold, and items stripped from them after visiting a website or opening a file containing a trojan virus.”

- After 10+ years using a PC without any sort of antivirus software I’ve never got a virus. People need to use common sense.

Lastly buying gold does cause inflation etc.... However some people don't have the time to farm with full time jobs, a life, and raiding. They could cut out the farmer's by offering gold to us @ a price. Then money can be used to hire decent designers and support folk. Maybe just maybe they can fix the wing graphics on my 1500g mount.

Kovacs with the qq, also.... About the viruses, not everyone knows how to be safe on da interwebz.

Also, the reason most companies are against selling gold and gold selling companies is that it's a time sink. They make more profit off you for farming 2 months to get your epic flying mount and keep playing than they would make to just sell you gold for $30 (Pulled this number out of my ass) and you quit a month later.

Just FYI... a person I know and am very close to uses a ton of common sense and got keylogged by downloading a HA required add on from a trusted site that everyone else used... shit happens to people sometimes. However it was gold farmers that planted the logger and stole all his gold. Those people just piss me off.

I agree with you though that Blizzard could make money by selling us gold and they could start doing that. However I think people should not be lazy and level their own characters.
